On my return from London, I received an email from the fabulously networked, dynamic and effortlessly debonair CEO and Editor-in-Chief of BBC GoodFood India, Mr Shafquat Ali, offering me a role as ‘Consulting Editor of BBC GoodFood India and their soon-to-launch hospitality magazine.
Last Saturday, Laveena and I, along with my parents Razia and Munna, boarded a magic-carpet and glided into the enchanting world of Maffy’s, a quaint little Pan-Arabian restaurant located just steps away from the magnificent Taj Mahal Palace hotel in Mumbai.

Last December, to celebrate my mother Razia’s birthday, the family traveled to Dubai. While dad and mum stayed at my brother Aiyaz’s beautiful home, located on the trunk of the man-made Palm, Laveena and I checked into Fairmont The Palm.
